To calculate the value of superannuation that accrued during a relationship needs adjustments for the fact that money grows over time and old values need to be indexed to todays dollars. One can't simply that the Family Law value at start of relationship from the Family Law Value at separation. A change from growth to pension phase during the relationship can also make the calculation more complex.
